From August 21 to 25, Lviv became a hub for International Data Science Experts as it hosted the IEEE Second International Conference on Data Stream Mining & Processing (DSMP 2018). The conference drew over 300 participants from various countries, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange on the latest advancements in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Mining.
DSMP 2018 featured four key conference sections, each exploring critical aspects of Data Science:
- Big Data Analysis: Delving into the techniques and applications of processing and analyzing massive datasets.
- Machine Vision and Image Processing: Showcasing innovations in computer vision and image analysis.
- Dynamic Data and Data Stream Analysis: Focusing on the challenges and solutions for handling real-time, evolving data.
- Hybrid Computational Intelligence Systems: Investigating the integration of various AI techniques for enhanced problem-solving.
The conference provided a platform for researchers and industry professionals to present their latest findings and discuss emerging trends. Notably, Andy Bosyi, Founder of MindCraft, delivered a compelling presentation on “Decision-making systems based on time series.” His insights into leveraging time series data for informed decision-making resonated with attendees, highlighting the practical applications of advanced data analysis.
